Quinoa mug cake

I love a quick, hearty breakfast and this one hits the spot. Ive been perfecting this one for a while I hope you guys find it as lovely! This morning I was running errands with my mom so I made it in a mug and took off

To fulfill your macros you can add a scoop of protein powder into the mix

Nutritional info:
Calories: 280
Carbs: 26g
Protein: 34g
Fat: 3g

This is brilliant with berries, almond butter, or as I had it this morning with a mini banana and black chia seeds

Recipe
⅓ cup gogo quinoa flakes (or any other brand)
⅓ cup egg whites
⅓ cup unsweetened almond milk
Other optionals: stevia, cinnamon, pumpkin seeds, berries, any other goodies you can conjure up!

Comibe all the ingredients and pop it into the microwave for 1.5 minutes and you’re golden!

Quinoa is a funny old thing, is it a fruit, seed, or grain? Depends who you ask but some will agree they’re a fruit and therefore paleo friendly. While quinoa salads leave me feeling empty, I like using quinoa flakes as a substitute for oatmeal and its a great way to get protein, and 100g of quinoa contains 50mg of calcium and 5mg of iron!
