Primal berry bliss balls

For my first post, I figured I’d start out with a classic snack loved by all and easy to make.

These little morsels of heaven pack a mighty flavour punch!

Carbs: 10g
Fat: 7g
Protein: 2g

These babes are perfect at any time of the day, but if you’re watching macros then adjust accordingly.

Recipe
2/3 cup almonds, blanched and peeled if you want
2/3 cup pecans
6 dates, pitted
2 dries figs
1/2 cup diced strawberries or any other berry you like
3 tbsp cacao nibs
Salt to taste
Shredded coconut (optional)

Process the first 4 ingredients together until finely ground. Pinch it and see if its sticky, if not feel free to add another date or a tbsp or melted coconut oil.
Add the diced strawberries, cacao nibs, salt, and combine. I personally wanted mine to be salty but the salt is essential to balance the flavours, so start with a bit and keep adding until you’re happy!
Roll em up and if you like, roll them in some unsweetened shredded coconut

Almonds are great for heartburn and strawberries are great if you’re having lazy bowels. Fun fact: strawberry juice mixed with baking soda and salt and kept in the mouth for 5 minutes can help whiten teeth! Cacao contains a compound known as theobromine, which helps reduce blood pressure as well as act similarly to caffine, in addition to being a diuretic.
